We transformed the garden with our screening shrubs and low-maintenance drought-tolerant succulents. Palo Alto Haven is a thoughtfully designed residential garden in Palo Alto, California, created to be both visually appealing and practical for everyday living. This landscape architecture project focused on low-maintenance performance while enhancing outdoor usability and curb appeal.

The design uses a blend of attractive drought-tolerant succulents, structured hedging, and clean planting lines to create a cohesive and welcoming outdoor space. Native and climate-appropriate plant choices reduce irrigation needs while supporting year-round interest, making this haven ideal for Palo Alto’s Mediterranean-like climate.
