Dirt Diary


Our first outing of the year was to the Most Holy Trinity Church, in San Jose. A church with a beautiful entry plant - the Agave. It was a perfectly beautiful day to be outside, and...the plants looked like they had always been there. It was difficult not to be impressed by the stately, majestic and colorful stripes of the Agave. Some of the Plum trees were already in bloom, and the rose bushes looked like they had been recently pruned. My hope was to bring out the existing colors and match the majesty of the existing plants with newer and more constrating plants. Black Phormium, "Bell Orange" Daylilies and Red Carpet Rose were a few of the new plants that brighten up the space...
